Curved Kinetic Elevation
A wind-responsive wire-based kinetic facade forming a curved second skin, enhancing the residence with dynamic movement, solar shading, privacy, and a constantly evolving play of light and shadow.
This residence features a wind-responsive wire-based kinetic facade designed as a curved architectural second skinthat transforms the building elevation into a dynamic, living surface. Composed of lightweight metallic modules, the kinetic system reacts naturally to wind, generating subtle, continuous motion and a rich interplay of light, shadow, and reflection throughout the day.
Following the building’s organic curvature, the kinetic second skin softens the vertical mass of the structure while adding visual depth and architectural elegance. Beyond aesthetics, the facade functions as a high-performance building envelope, providing effective solar shading, enhanced privacy, and passive environmental control without mechanical intervention.
The result is a refined, contemporary kinetic facade system where motion becomes an integral design element—merging architectural expression, environmental performance, and experiential quality into a seamless, future-ready residential elevation.
